National Capital Kart Club.
THE BACKGROUND
The National Capital Kart Club – nckc.net – is a non-profit, competitive karting club based around the National Capital region of Canada for racers aged 8 and up. Unlike other karting clubs in Canada, NCKC is a travelling club, adding variety to their schedule by using different tracks and competing in multiple championships.
THE PROJECT
Tyler approached NCKC in the winter of 2019 with the idea to update their online presence and move the club forward toward the future.
THE VIDEO SERIES – The first portion of the project was the creation of a video series in partnership with Top Karting and NCKC to promote the club’s karting academy and the drivers that have been through it. The first edition was filmed and edited in December 2019 and published in January 2020. The second edition will be shot in the summer of 2020 and follow the NCKC karting season.
THE WEBSITE – The website was the largest thing that needed a change. Having not been updated for many years before, Tyler began working on an updated unified front for the club revolving around the website. Going forward, the National Capital Kart Club will be able to manage schedules and all member registrations and payments through the new site using WordPress.
